This is a Marine Model Co. kit
of the "Bounty" #1080.
The diagram of the model is dated Oct '37.
The box measures 15 1/2" by 5 1/2" by 4 1/2" tall
and is in decent condition, with the original price
penciled in at $4.75. The Marine Model Co. was located
at 29 W. 15th Street, New York, N.Y. It appears
to be all there and at one time someone has started
to work on the kit. In the two sacks are parts,
including a wire spool and the thread for assembly.
The sails are still rolled up! This would be a nice addition
to your wood ship collection!! |

Here's a cool 1960's (not
positive
but I believe this is the correct vintage) battery operated Robot
by Durham Industries of N.Y. that needs a good home
and a little restoration.
Motor runs but drive gear
is cracked and spins on drive shaft. No other mechanical
problems that I am aware of. The two lights, head and chest,
do not light, probably a bad connection. I can't imagine
both are burned out. The old boy needs a new chrome job.
This plastic and metal Hong Kong made robot stands 10" tall. |

This is an early 1960's or
late 1950's
Mercedes Benz 300 SL Roadster (with hard top) slot car
made by Ideal.
I believe it to be a 1/24th or 1/25th scale slot car,
as it measures 7 1/2" long. While the plastic on the body
is in good shape with no cracks or breaks,
the front and rear bumpers are long gone through the daring
of the kid behind the hand control!! I can't say if the motor
is in running condition. |
