ABOUT US
Owner - Leigh Godbey
I've spent over 32 of my 48 years searching out treasures throughout the Midwest and beyond. From San Diego to Seattle and Miami to Maine, I've found antiques and collectibles of all kinds! Treasures have been found in fine antique galleries to antique malls to garage sales.
I have been featured in the Danville, IL. Commercial News and the Champaign, IL. News Gazette and other area newspapers in the past as well as interviewed on ABC Channel 12 TV in Flint, MI.
My product has been featured at such nationally renowned shows at
Atlantique City, New York's Triple Pier Show and Chicagoland Coin-Op
show - attracting Television and Print Media press, who have all done
feature pieces on my products.
Most recently, I have been featured in "Antique Week", "Antique Trader"
and Michigan's "Auction Exchange".
Specializing in Coke machine restorations, I have been awarded "Best of Show" at the Dallas Coin Op. show in the 1990's. What started out as a hobby has turned into a lifestyle for me.
With each find, there's an interesting (well, I think it's interesting) story that comes with each of my acquisitions. The most interesting one is the story of selling an Old Town Canoe to a guy who worked at the Twin Towers and just happened to take September 11, 2001 off as a vacation day (first day off in 20 years!).
As time goes on, my interests change, and with it, my purchases. I don't really know what I will end up adding to my inventory
next!
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Restorations:
We specialize in restorations of 1950's Vendo, VMC, and Cavalier Coke, Pepsi,
other other brand soda pop machines.
We can provide photos and references upon
request if you have a machine that you would like to have restored. We will also
be happy to share restoration tips with you if you need assistance in your own
restoration project.
We perform a "ground up" restoration, not just a "tape and
paint" job that some other "restorers" call restorations. The machines are
totally dismantled and painted, metal parts are either chromed or zinced.
Coin mechanisms are restored and the compressor units are repainted,
rewired, and recharged if necessary.
We crate and ship machines to most major
US cities for a very reasonable rate as well.
Brokering:
We will list your item for sale on our site (providing it meets
our approval) for an
agreed upon commission rate or we can locate a potential buyer for you and you
can sell it through us.
Buying your item:
We are always looking for new inventory and are interested in looking at what you
have for sale. Please have a price in mind and be willing to tell us what you
want for your item.
We do not provide prices or appraisals for your items (you
can appreciate the time we have spent learning this business and the trends in
sales). Please keep in mind we cannot pay
retail or market prices as, in any business, we must have a profit margin to
remain in business.
Cash is paid and we will even assist in the shipping
of your item if it is large or fragile.
We buy single items or whole collections!
